Keri is a psychologist and criminologist passionate about how children develop (mis)trust in others and how this relates to mental health and problem behaviours. At the University College London (UCL), she is an Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology and co-Director of the UCL Centre for Education in the Criminal Justice (ECJ). She is also UKRI ESRC Policy Fellow based at the Home Office (2023-25), Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society and Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
Prior to UCL, Keri was the Betty Behrens Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge where she also received her PhD in Psychology. She received her BA (Hons.) in Psychology and MA in Criminology from the University of Pennsylvania. Keri has led multiple funded studies looking at the impact of Covid-19 on various populations: adults (www.globalcovidstudy.com/), BAME young people (copewellstudy.com & empowerislington.com), parents and families (vaxpacstudy.com), trainee teachers, cancer patients ('Humanizing Hospitals'). Keri convenes the British Academy Early Career Network London Hub representing UCL and co-hosts UCL official podcasts 'Academia et al' and formerly, 'Research for the Real World'.
